Two new massive RPGs have been released on Xbox, and are both available on Xbox Game Pass to subscribers.
The original Octopath Traveler was first released in 2018 exclusively for Nintendo Switch, before later being ported to several other platforms. Octopath Traveler 2, meanwhile, launched last year in February on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC, before being released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S yesterday [June 5]. Both titles are currently available on Game Pass, meaning subscribers can play over a hundred hours worth of RPGs that are absolutely beautiful, and take the HD2D style of game into new frontiers.
"1 is a good game that's flawed in many ways by design so it's high dependent on the person if it's good or not. 2 fixes about half the common issues with the first game but dials everything good about the original to 11, it's a game that makes it impossible for me to go back to its predecessor with how much is improved," One fan said in reply to a question as to whether or not the game is worth playing.

Another fan noticed that the official Square Enix site, the games will be removed in around a year and a half. It's not often that we know the rough date that a game will be removed from Xbox Game Pass, with usually only around a weeks notice given before a game is removed from the service.
"I don't think we've been actually given something like this [a removal date for the games] before but it does make sense considering they pulled their games from PS+ and GamePass before," the Redditor said.
