The next James Bond has been ‘sealed’ and ‘set to sign’, according to an oddsmaker.
In 2021 we saw the end of Daniel Craig’s reign as the 007 agent in No Time to Die. Daniel Craig has played the role of James Bond five times, only being beaten by legends Sean Connery and Roger Moore, both of whom have played the M15 agent a total of seven times each.
So it’s fair to say that whoever plays the role next, certainly has big shoes to fill. During the last couple of years, we’ve heard the likes of Idris Elba, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy, Richard Madden, Lashana Lynch, Tom Hiddleston and John Boyega all being thrown into the MI5 hat.
Of course, until we hear official confirmation as to who will be the next James Bond, we should take all speculation with a pinch of salt, until proven otherwise.

Out of all the names mentioned above, it's probably Idris Elba who seems to be on the tip of many tongues. However, according to an Oddsmaker, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is all but signed, sealed and delivered en route to being the next 007 agent. According to the Birmingham Mail, Taylor-Johnson is now the firm bookmaker favourite to take up the mantle.
John Hill of bookmaker Coral said: “There has been a surge of support behind Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the last 24 hours in our next James Bond betting. It's clear that punters have made their minds up over who they think should replace Daniel Craig.”
What's more, it is claimed by an alleged source that Taylor-Johnson impressed during auditions, including Bond franchise boss, Barbara Broccoli. “Aaron went for a screen test to be the next Bond in September and producers and Barbara loved him,” said the alleged source.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson arguably shot to fame in the two Kick-Ass movies in 2010 and 2013, respectively. He then went on to star in the critically acclaimed 2020 Christopher Nolan movie, Tenet.

However, during his most recent movie, 2022’s Bullet Train, I can remember thinking that Taylor-Johnson delivered James Bond swagger by the bucketload as Tangerine, despite being a comedic character.
We should keep in mind that despite being a bookmaker favourite, Aaron Taylor-Johnson being confirmed as James Bond is not set in stone. That being said, when the odds drop to a certain point, there’s often no smoke without fire.
