It has been three years since Daniel Craig hung up his pistols and said goodbye to his 007 moniker but who his replacement will be still remains a mystery.
The fictional spy James Bond has been portrayed by seven different actors since the first movie, Dr. No, was released way back in 1962.
Since then, Bond has been portrayed by such actors as Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan and more recently, Daniel Craig.

However, with Craig’s Bond era over after five movies, fans are eager to learn who will be stepping into the famous shoes next.
Although there has been speculation over recent years, with actors such as Idris Elba and Aaron Taylor-Johnson potentially taking the role, there has been no confirmation as of yet.
That being said, according to a recent comment by James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, they are still searching.
In an interview for the Independent, Broccoli shared what they are looking for for Bond No. 8.

First, it will be a man so rumours of our first female Bond are seemingly out of the window.
The man will be in his 30s and could possibly be a person of colour, which will be a first for the franchise.
Other than that, the movie makers are remaining tight-lipped.
The latest Bond movie was No Time to Die which hit cinemas back in 2021.

The movie saw us wave goodbye to Craig and set up the stage nicely for the next 007.
However, despite the love for Craig and his portrayal of the suave spy, fans were not always happy with the casting.
Broccoli reminisces about the “anti-Daniel nonsense” which saw fans of the franchise complain about his casting ahead of the release of his debut, Casino Royale.
However, once the movie was released in 2006, opinion soon changed and Craig is now considered as one of the best Bonds of all time.

As a result, our next actor has some big shoes to fill and millions of fans to please.
No pressure.
