War is cometh with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 arriving this year and we’ve also been treated to an epic trailer.
Developed by Warhorse Studios, Kingdom Come: Deliverance was initially released in 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, before making its way to the Nintendo Switch this year. While the first game in the series didn't blow the industry away with its decent Metacritic score of 72, it did form a cult-like following and news of its sequel will surely please those masses after waiting three years since Kingdom Come: Deliverance II was first announced.

Despite being far from perfect, Kingdom Come: Deliverance was praised for its immersive storylines, challenging gameplay and impressive visuals. So it’s fair to say that fans will not only expect more of the same in the sequel but will also be hoping that it’s bigger and better than its predecessor.

“Diving back into the heart-pounding world of 15th Century Bohemia (Central Europe), Kingdom Come: Deliverance II picks up where its predecessor left off, thrusting players into the shoes of Henry, the steadfast son of a blacksmith, embroiled in a tumultuous tale of vengeance, betrayal, and self-discovery,” said Deep Silver in a press release.
“In this gripping sequel, players will traverse a meticulously crafted mediaeval landscape, from the humble confines of a blacksmith's forge to the grandeur of royal courts, all while navigating the treacherous currents of a kingdom torn apart by civil war.”
Set in the early 1400s, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II promises to be twice the size in scale as the previous game aided by the two new locations of Bohemian Paradise as well as the mining town of Kuttenberg of the Czech Republic. The sequel will also feature a revamped combat system which makes it more accessible to new players while “staying true to its nature”.
It seems like this action RPG is already shaping up to be a banger and we can’t wait to see more of it. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will be released this year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
