Beloved actor Jim Carrey has announced that he's planning to retire from acting in the very near future.
The star of critically acclaimed bangers like The Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, and most recently Sonic The Hedgehog 2* broke the news in a recent interview with Access Hollywood.
We actually caught up with Carrey ourselves recently. The man has a lot of ideas for a third Sonic movie, for someone who wants to retire - check it out below!
Carrey was appeared on the show to promote Sonic the Hedgehog 2 when he was asked about comments made by country icon Dolly Parton, who recently remarked that she wanted him to play her old music partner Porter Wagoner in a Parton biopic.

“Well, that’s a lovely thing,” he said, before saying that he probably do it because he's "retiring".
“I’m being fairly serious, yeah," Carrey added, before admitting that he could still change his mind. “If the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road but I’m taking a break.
“I really like my quiet life and I really like putting paint on canvas and I really love my spiritual life and I feel like, and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists, I have enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough.”
So unless Sonic The Hedgehog 3 adapts the plot of Sonic Adventure 2, I think we might have to get used to the idea of a Hollywood without Jim Carrey. But goodness me has the man earned a retirement.

*I just want to make it clear, if you're concerned that I'm comparing Sonic The Hedgehog 2 to The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine, that I absolutely am.
