If you thought that Hogwarts Legacy, developed by Avalanche Software couldn't look better than it already does, then you’ll be proved wrong once more by the talented modding community on PC.
Hogwarts Legacy is a video game that fans of Harry Potter’s Wizarding World have dreamt of for years and when it was released in early 2023, it instantly became a game of the year contender. Yet, somehow, Hogwarts Legacy was snubbed at major events such as The Game Awards to the dismay of its fanbase.

Hogwarts Legacy even became the best-selling game of 2023 and outsold the lifetime sales of the critically acclaimed FromSoftware title Elden Ring in just five weeks. That being said, if there is a silver lining to Hogwarts Legacy being snubbed at major award ceremonies, it would be that given its massive sales success, a Hogwarts Legacy 2 is at least looking very likely at this stage.

In terms of the game itself, you play as a student who’s mysteriously been enrolled in the fifth academic year at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with an intriguing story that will keep players engaged throughout. What’s more, it’s packed full of fun side-missions, and interesting NPCs and that’s not even including the joy of exploring the halls of Hogwarts Castle.
Hogwarts Legacy is also a gorgeous game whether you’re playing on PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo Switch. However, if you play Hogwarts Legacy on PC, you have the added benefit of content created by the ever-vibrant modding community and one mod that comes to mind is ‘A New Beginning - A Reshade Preset’ available to download now for free via Nexusmods.
As the name of the mod suggests, ‘A New Beginning - A Reshade Preset’ makes the world of Hogwarts Legacy look better than ever. The mod improves the textures and enhances its colour depth as well as making the lighting and shading effects look extra spectacular.
Hogwarts Legacy is out now on PC and modern consoles.
