Hogwarts Legacy has recently benefited from a free content update and Harry Potter fans have been making the most out of the goodness and are now able to create their own version of the leading character from the Wizarding World.
When Hogwarts Legacy was released in February 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S (before arriving on other platforms), it instantly became one of the most popular games of that stacked year. 2023 boasted the likes of Alan Wake 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 to name a few, so standing out was no easy task.

“Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. Embark on a journey through familiar and new locations as you explore and discover magical beasts, customise your character and craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents and become the wizard you want to be,” reads the description of the game.

Hogwarts Legacy went on to be so popular that it became the best-selling game of 2023, despite being snubbed at major video game ceremonies such as The Game Awards, leaving some loyal fans feeling very displeased.
This week, the highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy summer update arrived bringing a new photo mode, some cosmetic items inspired by Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter’s glasses, as well as the ‘Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest’ becoming available to all platforms that were once exclusive to PlayStation. Sadly, however, there is still no sign of the much-requested New Game Plus.
Now, as long as you know your way around the character creation suite of Hogwarts Legacy, you can create your very own Harry Potter by not only using the Gryffindor robe but also his glasses courtesy of the recent free content update. This will delight many fans without needing to utilise the Cheering Charm.
Hogwarts Legacy is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
