There’s a lot of exciting stuff on the table for Marvel fans. Phase Four coming to an end in just a month’s time with the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, before we launch into Phase Five with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania on 17 February 2023.
Much later in Phase Five, fans can look forward to Captain America: New World Order and Thunderbolts, and as reported by The Direct, according to an insider, we may be getting a very exciting casting choice for a major role in the two movies. You’ve read the headline, it’s none other than Harrison Ford - the legendary actor best known for his roles as Indiana Jones and Han Solo will apparently be joining the MCU.
Coming to Disney+ soon is Secret Invasion - take a look at the trailer below.
These claims come from The Ankler's Jeff Sneider, who reportedly revealed the information during a recent episode of The Hot Mic podcast. According to him, Ford will be taking on the recast role of Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, and will be making his debut in New World Order.

In previous Marvel movies, Ross, of course, was played by William Hurt, who sadly passed away at the age of 71 earlier this year. At the time of writing, Marvel hasn’t confirmed that his role will be recast, and it’s worth noting that the studio opted not to recast Black Panther after the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman.
This isn’t the first time that Sneider has mentioned the possibility of Ford taking on the role - late last month, he tweeted that although Marvel insiders have apparently denied the claims, “multiple sources indicate that HARRISON FORD either is or was the studio's top choice to star in THUNDERBOLTS as the General himself”. Currently, none of this is officially confirmed, so take it with a sensible pinch of salt.
