Apparently we aren’t past the point of Henry Cavill being cast in every single geek adjacent property, as it turns out he might be joining the MCU.
According to an industry insider, MyTimeToShineH, Cavill has been chatting with Marvel execs as he’s eyed to star in the long-rumoured Nova TV show.
Marvel's next big film is the ensemble adventure, Thunderbolts*
I can’t see him being Nova, if I’m honest, though he could step into a villain role as a change from playing superhero good guys.

The Nova Corps are a big part of the Marvel universe, and while they were introduced in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, James Gunn didn’t fully explore the faction.
If Marvel were to bring a bigger story to Disney Plus, having some star power would definitely sell the concept to casual fans.
I’d argue that Cavill is a little busy at the moment, what with developing and adapting the Warhammer 40K universe, on top of any films he’s working on.
As with any big rumour like this, I’d take it with a large pinch of salt and expect the idea to fade away until Marvel actually announce something.

It’s only a matter of time before Henry Cavill steps into the MCU, beyond his appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, where he appeared as a variant of Wolverine.
Personally, it might seem a bit ‘on the nose’ but I’d much rather Cavill took up the mantle of Captain Britain.
Not only does he have the look, but having a geeky Brit in the role would work well.
Only time will tell on whether the Superman actor is actually making the jump from DC to Marvel - the man seems to helm so many nerd media projects, he’s everywhere.

Stay tuned for more news, if and when it emerges, and for now, place your bets on which character he would play.
