It has been quite a while since Half-Life fans were treated to a game but all of that is about to change thanks to the recent news about Half-Life 3: Project Borealis.
Kicking off in 1998 with Half-Life before being followed by Half-Life 2 in 2004 and spin-off Half-Life: Alyx in 2020 for VR, the FPS series by Valve has had quite the journey.

Combining combat, puzzles and storytelling, the Half-Life series is loved by fans of all ages so it is no wonder that those very fans were disappointed when Half-Life: Episode Three became one of many scrapped projects.

However, the wait for a brand-new entry is over as one modding team has come together to create Half-Life 3: Project Borealis.
The project has been on quite a journey after receiving a tech demo back in 2018.
The now-unplayable demo gave fans their first look at the unofficial sequel which was based on the Epistle 3 script published by Half-Life writer Marc Laidlaw.
Since the demo, fans have not received an update on Project Borealis since 2020 but out of the blue, the team is back and have revealed that the Prologue will be released in Fall 2024.

Using Unreal Engine 4, Half-Life 3: Project Borealis has received a teaser trailer and fans are understandably excited for the demo to be released.
“I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR 7 YEARS,” one comment read.
Another said: “I have been following this account since quarantine, I saw all their videos, the sounds, the beautiful music, the blog they have, how everything was going to be from the beginning with everything they had sacrificed and now I can see 30 seconds of this wonderful game, just I can say "it was worth it".”
There is no exact date for Half-Life 3: Project Borealis and this will only include the Prologue.
