Half-Life 3 potential teaser sends fans absolutely wild

Half-Life 3 potential teaser sends fans absolutely wild

Half-Life 3 confirmed?

Half-Life 3, after years of fan theories, memes, and doubt it’ll ever actually exist, could finally be on the cards thanks to a teaser from the G-Man himself.

Years ago Valve provided gamers with quite possibly the biggest cliffhanger in history with Half-Life 2: Episode 2, and fans have wanted a conclusion ever since.

The hunt was on for any information on a potential third game, with fans even scouring other Valve IPs like Portal for clues.

Now it seems like 2025 is finally the year it’ll pay off, as Mike Shapiro, the voice actor for G-Man in the Half-Life games, shared a cryptic teaser this New Year that suggests the series is finally making a comeback.

In G-Man's iconic voice Shapiro teased 2025 as a year with several "unexpected surprises,” and that he’ll “see them in the New Year.”

Now this could of course just be some well-intentioned New Year wishes from an actor widely recognised for this particular role, but fans are obviously seeing this as a teaser for the next game.

“Oh my f****** God it might actually be real” said HiddenXperia in the comment section, and another comment added “Oh it's HAPPENING happening.”

Others were even more excited about the potential announcement, after all 2025 is already stacked with some enormous games on the way, specifically GTA VI which is confirmed to release towards the end of the year.

Obviously, we all need to take this with a pinch of salt as again it could just be Mike Shapiro having a bit of fun, but the timing does seem far too convenient to dismiss entirely.

Half-Life 3 could finally, finally, be confirmed, let’s just hope that if it does get released this year or the next it’s worth the agonisingly long wait.
