The actor who plays Trevor Philips in Grand Theft Auto V would love to die in GTA VI, and fans are divided about that prospect.
It’s probably fair to say that out of all the three GTA V playable protagonists (or antagonists, depending on your perspective), namely Trevor, Michael and Franklin, Trevor is the most popular. So much so, Trevor’s actor, Steven Ogg, reportedly gets annoyed with fans relentlessly associating him with the character.

It can get annoying. I’m sure. for such a talented actor to constantly be recognised for one role, despite playing so many other roles over his career. Still, in my humble opinion, it’s a testament to how well Steven Ogg played Trevor in the beloved Rockstar Games title.

Before I proceed, I am about to venture into spoilers for the opening moments of GTA V, a game initially released in 2013. So consider this to be your final spoiler warning.
In GTA IV, there’s an NPC called Johnny Klebitz, the vice president of the Hells Angels-inspired motorcycle group, The Lost MC. Johnny then starred in one of two post-launch expansions for GTA IV, The Lost and Damned.
Johnny returned once more in GTA V, but his role in this game was very brief, to say the least. His role in GTA V was more short-lived than TikTok’s ban in the United States.
When we are reintroduced to Johnny in the opening moments of Grand Theft Auto V, following an altercation with Trevor Philips, Trevor brutally kills Johnny by stamping him to death.

As revealed in an interview with ScreenRant, as we near the launch of GTA VI, Steven Ogg has explained that he wants Trevor to make a return in the game, but is keen on the idea of him sharing a similar fate to Johnny Klebitz.
“It would be fun if Trevor appeared in it just to be killed at the beginning," suggested Ogg. “I think that would be cool because it also acknowledges the fans of like, 'Hey, thank you.' Pass the torch, stomp Trevor's head in, and sort of put an end to that and allow a new generation to take over.”
As you can imagine, the proposal of Trevor’s death has sparked debate with fans of the Grand Theft Auto series. “Do you think Rockstar Games is up for that?” asked EzGudTriHards.
“He always hated being called Trevor, I remember one time he mentioned that he never played the game and over the years, he started regretting his Rockstar gig,” said WadieXkiller. “Even his Cameos with fans, he despised the scripts which fans demanded him to act as Trevor.”

“Even if Rockstar Games were up to that, now that he has said it publicly, it‘s never going to happen,” ForceApprehensive556 claimed.
“Sod that, we didn't pick the third ending in GTA V just for this to happen,” exclaimed Karceris.
“I'm so tired after 12 years of GTA V, I never wanna see or hear Trevor ever again, please don't show up in GTA VI,” RogerRoger63358 pleaded.
It remains to be seen whether Trevor will get his cameo in GTA VI, especially in the manner in which Steven Ogg wants. Only time will tell.
