GTA VI fans are going wild over an apparent tease for the highly anticipated game but could it be something out of nothing?
At this point, fans of Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series are desperate for an update on GTA VI. Since its first trailer reveal in December 2023, we’ve practically had no update on the game, at least officially.
Check out the GTA VI trailer below!
As such, even after being treated to the first GTA VI trailer and knowing that it will be released later this year, it seems like the rumour mill will continue to spin until Rockstar Games provides further information.

The latest piece of speculation comes from fans on Reddit and at first glance, it’s easy to see why GTA VI fans might believe that Rockstar Games is giving us a cryptic message.
One minute and 15 seconds (ish) into the first GTA VI trailer, Jason and Lucia bust through a convenience store door, guns pointing, presumably to take all the money from the cash register.
Reddit user Ryex7 shared a comparison image of that moment from the GTA VI trailer and a screenshot taken from RockstarGames.com of a male and female character busting through a door of what is probably a bank, guns pointing in the latest Red Dead Online event.

The similarities are very obvious to see and some believe that Rockstar Games could be teasing a GTA VI announcement but I think most of us would probably agree, that we’re all being trolled.
The face that the Reddit user is referring to can be seen on the glass door of the convenience store in the GTA VI trailer right next to Jason. To be fair, the face on the glass door does have some resemblance to the male character in the Red Dead Online screenshot.
However, I think the face on the door looks less like the Red Dead Online character and more like a Wild West version of Nick Offerman from The Office. That being said, the poses are practically the same.
“Guys it's happening. Nothing is about to go down,” jokes Forzahorizonguy.

“This is pretty close actually, probably planned by the marketing team just as a little Easter egg towards GTA VI but it doesn’t mean anything, it's just a post,” said DeterminedHyena. “Cool coincidence if nothing else.”
“The face in the window is a character that is on bounty posters in RDR2,” GhandisFlipFlop revealed.
“They're taunting us at this rate,” exclaimed Suspicious_Dog1648.
While GTA VI doesn't have a solid release date, it is currently scheduled to be released at the end of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
