It may not feel like it, but we inch closer to Grand Theft Auto VI’s launch with each passing day.
This, of course, will feel more concrete once a release date has actually been announced but as they say, good things come to those who wait - and oh my, Rockstar Games sure does like to keep us waiting.
It’s been around four months since GTA VI’s initial trailer dropped, granting us our first look at dual protagonists Jason and Lucia in action.

We know that the game will take us back to Vice City, with fans already having pieced together a potential map based on evidence found in the trailer.
As for gameplay, Rockstar is holding its cards close to its chest. It’s certainly likely that we’ll get an official gameplay reveal in the remainder of 2024, key word being ‘official’.
Rockstar is still being plagued by the major cyber attack it was subjected to back in September of 2022.
ICYMI: Take a look at GTA VI’s trailer below.
As you may recall, Rockstar Games was previously the target of a sophisticated cyber attack which saw over an hour’s worth of development footage leaked online, alongside source code and various screenshots.

While many of these development clips were hit by copyright strikes in the days succeeding the attack, some continue to crop up online to this day.
In fact, certain social media accounts are dedicated to sharing one small clip a day until GTA VI is either released or a new trailer is dropped.
Such an account is the subject of today’s story, with the poster writing, “Posting one GTA VI leak everyday till trailer two is released. Day 86.”
Out of respect for the game’s developers, we won’t be showing the clip here but it essentially features Lucia walking around a sunny neighbourhood, interacting with her environment.

Given that this clip is from an earlier stage of development, this gameplay is far more primitive than what we can expect to see in the final product.
That being said, it’s still got fans hyped.
“I’m so ready for this game,” one replied, while another added, “It’s stunning. The density of [the] texture is [wild].”
Keep holding on, GTA fans. We’ve made it this far. That gameplay trailer surely cannot be too far away.
