Despite knowing next to nothing official about Grand Theft Auto VI, new leaks and speculation circulate the internet on a daily basis to keep the chins of fans wagging.
Rockstar Games announced that it was working on GTA VI back in February 2022. Since then, the developer has provided no substantial update on the progress of the game resulting in fans being concerned that they might die before the next entry in the series is ever released. Hopefully, it won’t actually come to that, right?

Out of all the rumours that have been making the rounds, the most interesting one suggests that GTA VI will take us back to the Miami-inspired location of Vice City, the home of the ever-popular 80s throwback from 2002 starring Tommy Vercetti - played by the late, great Ray Liotta.

However, the most recent 'leaked' feature may be a subtle one, but it could be a detail that makes GTA VI one of Rockstar Games’ most immersive titles of all time. As reported by Dexerto, a leaked document, as well as alleged gameplay, shows unreal loading times regarding transitions between the rumoured two playable characters, Jason and Lucia. The document also states that GTA VI will have more enterable buildings than any other game in the series.
Even since GTA III in 2001, the Grand Theft Auto series has featured massive maps with plenty of activities for the player to partake in alongside the main story missions. Over the years, those maps have become larger and more immersive. As the series evolved, it featured more buildings that players could enter, whether it be shops, banks, restaurants and more.
The most recent entry, GTA V featured more enterable buildings than any other game in the series. Yet, if leaked documents are to be believed, the number of buildings that players can access will be taken to another level in Grand Theft Auto VI.
“A big feature of GTA VI will be the number of enterable buildings on offer. This will directly link with theft and robbery, some of the main elements of the game’s core gameplay,” it is claimed in the leaked documents. Some of the new buildings that players will be able to enter include apartments, laundrettes, pawn shops, supermarkets and more.

Obviously, we should always take unconfirmed leaks and rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. Yet, until Rockstar Games gives us something official to chew on, we’ll have to keep making do with speculation.
In recent news, a GTA V actor says that GTA VI will be worth the wait, and fans have been discussing whether or not we should be able to kill kids in the next game. Yikes!
Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released sometime during 2024 to 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
