Fans of the Grand Theft Auto series have slammed a recent announcement related to GTA VI and we can see why.
When the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series arrives, I think we’ve all already accepted that it’s going to take over the internet, for better or worse. Revealed in December 2023, at the time of writing, GTA VI is set to be released late this year, assuming it suffers no delay.

It’s also fair to say that Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games will be making filthy money with GTA VI, not only with video game sales but also with the added revenue that GTA Online 2 will make via its in-game purchases.

However, as reported by Dexerto, it seems that it won't just be Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games that could be making a pretty penny off GTA VI. Content creators Adin Ross and FaZe Banks also have plans to make big money off the game, or so they believe.
Why are fans unhappy about the potential involvement of Adin Ross and FaZe Banks when it comes to GTA VI? Well, it comes via an announcement that the duo plan to launch a role-playing server when GTA VI is released.
A GTA RP server is a place where PC gamers gather to role-play simulated life, as we’ve seen in GTA Online with GTA V. Free from the shackles of your typical multiplayer mayhem, players will live a dream virtual life in these servers, or at least that’s the intention.
GTA RP servers are free but the fact that this duo has said their server will involve crypto and making money, that’s not going to go down well with Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive.
“Fake gamers looking to make a buck while having no idea what they’re talking about, disgusting,” said popular Rockstar Games fan and content creator SynthPotato, replying to a tweet from scubaryan_.

“Unless Rockstar is partnering with him, this will get shut down so fast,” replied mgs2master2, alluding to the fact that this server will go against Rockstar Games’ terms of service and code of conduct.
“Rockstar gonna hit them with a cease and desist, plus a lawsuit combo so fast,” exclaimed gasgodjulio.
Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The PC version hasn't been announced, yet.
