This week saw a supposed ex-Rockstar employee take to Reddit to share some interesting tidbits of information surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI.
I say “tidbits” but the leak was on a considerable scale with the ex-QA claiming that they had gone hands on with early test builds of Grand Theft Auto VI, and as a result, could share information about a variety of different in-game features such as vehicles, map scale, NPC behaviour, and more.
Check out the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI below!
The two posts have since been deleted but of course, they have been reposted over on r/GTA6 and fans are torn between not believing the claims and feeling excited about the features the post mentioned.

The former QA claimed that the map was even bigger than fans imagine and features “way more countryside” than we think. There is even a “meth county”, underwater zones, restricted areas, and multiple shops but it feels dynamic and “each area feels lived in”.
They also claimed that driving feels much more realistic and traffic stops will even be conducted but unlike previous Grand Theft Auto instalments, you will be able to dupe the police by hiding any illegal items in your glove box for example.
NPCs will also have much more advanced AI and will remember your every move. For example, if you rob an NPC, they will remember you when they see you again and will act accordingly. Shopkeepers will even remember you (especially if you gave them a reason to) and police will have you on their records.
All of this and more is shared over the course of the QA’s posts and fans are understandably feeling torn over if this GTA VI leak is to be believed.

“May not be real, but it's interesting,” the top comment reads.
However, user guizocaa is feeling a bit less optimistic.
“The thing is that it doesn't matter how believable it is, anyone can make s**t up,” they wrote.
“You only need to be reasonable and a little bit knowledgeable of the game and that's it.

That's why I never bother with this.
He may be telling the truth and full of s**t. We can't know. It doesn't matter.”
The comments seem to be a mixed bag but no matter what you believe, it just goes to show how eager fans are to finally get their hands on Grand Theft Auto VI.
With a Fall 2025 release still on the cards, however, there is not much longer to wait.
