Grand Theft Auto VI fans are back once again with a brand new theory for the game’s second trailer, and it seems Rockstar Games has gotten them so down bad for any scrap of info that they’re forcing themselves to trawl Wikipedia for historical references.
These poor folks really need to take a day off, because the sheer number of GTA VI-related theories out there right now is getting painful. I know all really, really want to see that second trailer, but please don’t torture yourselves like this.
That being said, the latest theory is… well, it’s a fun one, I’ll say that much.

Over on the r/GTA6 subreddit, one user posted the thread “May 23rd gang where you at?” alongside an image of the infamous couple Bonnie and Clyde.
Both Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow died in a shootout with law enforcement on May 23rd, 1934.
If you’re curious as to why that has any relevance, Rockstar Games has stated that Grand Theft Auto VI’s protagonists, Jason and Lucia, are supposed to be a sort of modern-day reimagining of the infamous real-life couple.
It’s a cute theory, even if it’s not based on much, but what do the commenters think?

“Unironically this isn’t that bad of a theory,” commented user Grouchy-Guide2367.
“I really like this one. This might be the one,” replied user brolt0001.
To be fair, the vast majority of the commenters are actually just making fun of the user who made the thread for inventing a new theory, but hey, at least this one is just a bit of fun.
Honestly, I’d like to see this one ending up true.

Do I think it will be? Eh, probably not. I’m pretty sure Rockstar Games changes the date they’re planning to reveal GTA VI’s second trailer any time they spot someone come up with a new theory, but still.
