Rockstar Games has praised the teams that brought Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online into being, dedicating an official section on its website to the developers, suggesting that it might be bidding the game farewell before revealing Grand Theft Auto VI.
The state of the Grand Theft Auto community at the moment is that they're hoping that a prospective UFO hunt in Grand Theft Auto Online originating from an Easter egg in the Definitive Edition of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will lead to a Grand Theft Auto VI reveal in October. And inhale. With so little to go off from Take-Two Interactive, you can see why this simple and sweet "thank you" commendation has fans in a spin.
Check out the differences between the PlayStation 5 version and the fan modded version of Grand Theft Auto V in this comparison below:
"Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online represent the combined efforts of our global team over many years. We want to acknowledge and thank everyone who has contributed to these games, from their original launch in 2013 all the way through to present day," read the statement ahead of the listing of every single person, their role, and their location on the two games. The official pages for Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online are still active, of course, and this "thank you" letter is separate to those entries. Perhaps it's years upon years of Grand Theft Auto VI speculation that's liquified our brains, but could this signify an imminent announcement from Rockstar Games regarding the next entry in the series. Alternatively, the developer might be reminding us of the huge global effort from its employees that created one of the greatest games in the last ten years. We'll keep you updated as and when we learn more.
