Bethesda’s Fallout is one of the most beloved RPG series of all time, but what could be better than a hybrid game that also throws CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 into the mix?
This is what it looks like we’re getting with the upcoming post-apocalyptic sci-fi extraction shooter developed by Sharkmob and published by Level Infinite, Exoborne which was recently revealed during The Game Awards. If Exoborne is anything to the standard of the Fallout series as well as Cyberpunk 2077, then we’re in for a treat. I can’t help but get vibes from the movie Edge of Tomorrow.
Check out the Exoborne reveal trailer below!
“Humanity is facing an unprecedented global collapse after the failure of its last hope, Project Rebirth – turning our world into a hostile place. You will explore a part of the southeastern US, being torn apart by brutal forces of nature," reads the press release provided by Level Infinite.

The emphasis on Exoborne is that “big risks” can equal big rewards as “players take on the role of Reborn, extraordinary survivors fitted with an implant enabling them to use the powerful Exo-Rigs. Equipped with this epic technology, they thrive in a world plagued by warring factions, deadly elemental chaos, and other hostile Reborn. Utilising their Exo-Rigs abilities allows players to survive the fierce forces of nature and channel their might in combat and movement, making it the ultimate apocalyptic power fantasy.”
“Exoborne is not just a game to us, it’s so much more than that,” says Petter Mannerfelt, creative director at Sharkmob. “This is a long time in the making. We are excited to finally reveal it to the world and hear what people think about both the universe and the thrilling, action-packed playground we have created."
No release date has been announced for Exoborne at the time of writing, but it is expected to be released on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
