Personally, I’ve enjoyed Starfield since launch but I understand that many didn’t, instead feeling that it was a tad too undercooked.
Well, that’s all starting to change.
Bethesda has rolled out a series of updates for Starfield, adding highly requested features including bounty hunting quests, customisable ship interiors, and city maps.

The addition of drivable vehicles is on the way, as is the launch of the Shattered Space story expansion which will dive into the mysterious House Va’ruun.
It’s one of several story expansions planned for the game.
Following the launch of the Creation Kit, we’ve also seen many incredible fan-made projects surface.
One set of modders is in the midst of creating a Star Wars inspired total conversion mod.

A similar project was in the works but centred around The Elder Scrolls but what sounded too good to be true has alas proved to be just that.

Project Tamriel: A Creation Kit Project has been cancelled.

Announced by Reddit user New-Star-340, the mod was described as an “ambitious and groundbreaking” endeavour that would’ve attempted to recreate the entirety of Tamriel in Starfield, integrating the game worlds of Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind.
This would’ve included the respective quests and items from those games too.
When you consider how long it’s taken Bethesda, an experienced studio, to create The Elder Scrolls VI - which remains deep in development - you do have to wonder how a group of fan modders might go about tackling a project like this.
Well, they won’t be.

After attempting to recruit volunteers, the modders have instead pulled the plug on the project.
In an interview with VG247, New-Star-340 said, “After sharing the initial concept with the community, it became clear that the support we were hoping for just wasn’t there. Many fans voiced concerns and indicated that they were not interested in seeing this project come to fruition.”
“In terms of the team, we were a small group of passionate modders excited about the possibilities. However, the feedback we received made us realise that the excitement we felt wasn’t shared by the broader community,” they continued.
I’m not sure the lack of interest part is strictly true. I think we’d all love to traverse a full Tamriel. It’s simply that the project didn’t seem all that plausible.

Given how new Creation Kit still is though, I have no doubt that we’ll see other conversion mods made on a more manageable scale come to fruition.
