Where are tho, where are tho The Elder Scrolls VI? For it has been too long since we’ve heard from thee. Like seriously, Bethesda, can we get an update on the next entry in your ever-popper fantasy RPG series, please?
The Elder Scrolls VI was announced at E3 2018 and even though we were treated to just a cinematic trailer with a flyover of Tamriel and no release date, it was enough to get fans excited for the next entry in the Bethesda series. Yet, since that time (at least officially), we’ve had no further updates on the highly anticipated RPG.

Given that The Elder Scrolls VI was announced six years ago (yes, six years), we would have thought that it would have been released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S by now and that’s assuming it's not an exclusive to the green brand. At this point, it’s even likely that The Elder Scrolls VI might end up as a next-gen title.

However, it seems that the development of The Elder Scrolls VI may have taken a big step forward with Bethesda making a big recruitment push. Recently, Microsoft closing down multiple Bethesda studios, including Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks last May reportedly leaving many employees out of work.
Various jobs are being advertised at some of Bethesda’s biggest studios including Dishonored developer Arkane Studios (not to be confused with Arkan Austin), id Software, which may hint at the next DOOM game and as related to the topic of this article, Bethesda Game Studios who are handling The Elder Scrolls VI.

“ZeniMax Media is a unique global media organisation bringing together a powerful creative force of world-class game developers, artists and designers, programmers, and leading executives and talent from traditional media,” reads a line on the jobs page enticing would-be employees.
Of course, this is no official confirmation that development has kicked up a gear for The Elder Scrolls VI. That being said, now that the release of Starfield is out of the way and taking into account updates and DLC for the sci-fi RPG, the only other big project from Bethesda Game Studios that we know of publicly, is The Elder Scrolls VI.
Hopefully, Bethesda will update us on the progress of The Elder Scrolls VI at the Xbox Game Showcase this weekend on Sunday, 6 June. But I wouldn't hold your breath, just in case.
