Elden Ring's first official expansion has been on the minds of gamers everywhere since it was announced at the start of this year, but we don't actually know when the damn thing is coming.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree was teased back in February, but we're no closer to playing it than we were all those months ago. FromSoftware could do a stealth-drop, of course, if it really hates guides writers and wants to make sure they never see their families again.
But for those of you really desperate for some moreElden Ring, there are other routes you can take.

Take a look at some of the most cursed Elden Ring mods below before we move on!
Created by modder Valthryn, Elden Ring Resurrection is a complete overhaul of the original game that introduce a ton of new systems that refine and refresh the experience. It's perfect for seasoned players looking to start a new playthrough, given that it changes up almost everything about the base game.
While not quite as substantial a mod as Elden Ring: The Convergence - which adds entirely new areas, bosses, weapons, and more - Resurrection is not to be sniffed at. Expect changes gameplay systems, gear progression, animations, camera behavior, and more. There are also entirely new gameplay mechanics and an optional custom camera and reshade preset.

If you've been dying to go back to The Lands Between but feel like that thrill of discovery has gone, this is absolutely the mod for you. It is, of course, only available for PC gamers. The rest of us are out of luck.
If you want to check out this massive mod for yourself - and why wouldn't you? - you can head on over to Nexusmods and follow the installation instructions.
In other FromSoftware news, the studio recently teased further official expansions after Shadow Of The Erdtree. This isn't too surprising, given how successful Elden Ring has been.
