Elden Ring players will soon be able to try out the brand-new Elden Ring Nightreign, for free, no strings attached.
Now as a huge fan of FromSoftware’s work I’m very excited for Elden Ring Nightreign, especially after the reveal trailer showed us some iconic Dark Souls bosses will be making a surprise appearance, somehow.

We may not know when the game is launching but we do know it’s sometime this year, and you can try the game for yourself soon if you’re lucky.

Bandai Namco is offering players the chance to take part in the Open Network Test, and sign-ups are going live later today.
You can find details for the test and how you sign up on the official Elden Ring X account, including the dates and times the test will kick off.
Only Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 players will be able to experience the game though, but it’s confirmed the full release will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well, and PC of course.
This is your chance to not only give the game a go but also report back on what you thought of it, and identify any issues that need ironing out before the official launch date.

As far as we’re aware this is going to be some of the last Elden Ring content we’ll get for quite a while, as it’s said the team aren’t actively working on a sequel to Elden Ring and instead have other projects on the go instead.
Of course your first thought might be the team is finally working on a Bloodborne remaster/remake, but I wouldn’t hold your breath. That said, you can play Bloodborne in its entirety on PC right now…
Elden Ring Nightreign launches later this year, and will offer an entirely new experience for players who loved the open-world RPG and its DLC.
