Elden Ring fans need to update their game, as FromSoftware have made some huge changes that some of you aren’t going to like.
While fans aren’t hyping up Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree in quite the same way, it hasn’t had an impact on the playercount, though a recent update might upset a few people.
Check out our thoughts on Elden RIng: Shadow Of The Erdtree below.
Many have said the Elden Ring DLC is too difficult, even by FromSoftware standards, and have enlisted the help of several powerful character builds just to stand a chance against some of the bosses.

You might have seen the lightning perfume builds being passed around which absolutely shred the healthbars of bosses with minimal effort, though if you’ve been running this build recently, I’ve got bad news.
With the latest patch from FromSoftware featuring a variety of balancing acts, bug fixes and performance issue adjustments, the perfume build has been significantly nerfed in terms of damage. See, this is why we can’t have nice things.
Apparently the damage you could generate through the perfume bottles and the Ash Of War Rolling Sparks was more than the developers intended, so it’s been reduced to something more fair.
The update also buffed some Carian sorceries, increased the range on certain throwing weapons, as well as changed some aspects of the arena for the Golden Hippopotamus and Commander Gaius boss fights. Thank the Lord for the latter part as they’re arguably the worst fights in the DLC.

Performance issues across platforms have also been addressed, as it’s been said PC users were having some trouble with the game ever since one of the earlier DLC patches, so hopefully everything is running smoother now.
The Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion may be tough, but it's still well-worth playing if you’re a fan of the base game, don’t sleep on it.
