Did anyone spend their weekend playing Motive Studio’s Dead Space remake? I’ll admit, I didn’t but it’s not because I don’t want to. I’m too scared, okay?
In case you missed it, even one of Dead Space’s developers said the game is “too f**king scary” to play at night. GAMINGbible’s Imogen has my full admiration for braving what I’m labelling as the world’s most extreme version of Among Us. In our review, she wrote, “This thing shatters your nerves like a paper plate of jelly and whipped cream in an industrial shredder,” just in case you were still unsure of the creepiness levels. Despite being terrifying though, Dead Space has proved to be a hit and this spells good news for fans.
Take a look at Dead Space’s launch trailer below, if you dare.
As reported by Push Square, Motive Studio is thrilled with the response to the game so it’s likely that they could end up exploring a Dead Space 2 remake. In an interview with GQ, senior and creative directors Phil Ducharme and Roman Campos-Oriola were asked if they had plans for more. They responded, “For sure, it’s a hope that we have.”

“There’s interest on my side and I think on Roman’s side - you can see his smile - in exploring Dead Space more, There are ideas, that’s for sure,” Ducharme added. “We’re finishing this week. We’re going to be making sure that launch goes well and that there are as few technical issues as possible. We’re going to be heading out on vacation and then we’ll sit down and we’ll have those discussions with EA to [discuss] what’s next.”
Fans are convinced the entirety of the trilogy will be remade thanks to an easter egg. When you start a New Game Plus file, you’ll unlock a few extra text logs. One refers to working at the Spawn on Titan which is the setting of Dead Space 2. Cue, ‘Ooooo.’
