Xbox is having somewhat of an identity crisis. In fact, I’d go as far as saying that Xbox would be the first to admit that they’ve had a rocky couple of years. Last year saw the company fail to have any real presence at The Game Awards.
The good news is, things are changing. As sad as it is to see Master Chief disappear as the poster child for Xbox, the company’s commitment to Starfield is very promising - and it truly could be a GOTY contender. Recent free release Hi-Fi RUSH has also gone down extremely well, plus let’s not forget that we have Redfall on the way too. Xbox is well on its way to being back in the game. It is shedding some old dead weight though including removing several Xbox 360 games from the Xbox Store.
Check out some gameplay from Starfield below.
As reported by GGRecon, Microsoft is removing several major Xbox 360 titles from the Xbox Store including Assassin’s Creed III, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Dark Souls. There are 46 titles included in the chop and it’s thought that they may be permanently archived. This purge will take place on 7 February and after this, the games will only remain playable if you already have them downloaded or if you own the physical disc.
