Back in 2014, there was a leaked Assassin’s Creed game called Assassin’s Creed Victory. It appeared across the internet and sadly never saw a release. Thanks to one modder, the game does exist in some form as a mod for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
Aptly titled Assassin’s Creed Victory Project the mod features “modified game characters, weather conditions, music, and dialogues.” All of which go a long way to overhauling the game and making it feel like a brand-new experience.
The next game in the franchise is codenamed Red and will finally take us to Japan
Sadly, the modder behind this remarkable project has decided to stop work on the mod due to health concerns. This means that while the mod is fully playable and enjoyable, a lot of the text is unedited, and some bugs will still be noticeable. The creator wanted to keep the mod alive as they put in a lot of work, collaborating with other creators, and, for what it’s worth, players seem to really enjoy the project. There are a few just wishing that work would restart on the mod and get everything finished to the original goal.

The main features of this project are a completely reworked soundtrack, “more fitting for dark Victorian England period”, reworked dialogue to remove some of the original humour of Syndicate, plus some revamped visuals to make the game feel darker and give it a gritty feel.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate follows Jacob and Evie Frye as they attempt to stop the plans of the Templars in victorian London. The game also featured action set in World War I and was well-received by fans and critics alike. It was great to see the series finally take on London and Ubisoft did it brilliantly. By this point in the franchise, many were feeling fatigued by the games which means Syndicate often gets overlooked by many as being one of the jewels in the series’ crown.
