Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available to purchase on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Yet one dedicated fan has just managed to get the game running on a Nintendo 3DS.
Yes, you heard me correctly.

Twitter user BobWulff is the fan in question. As for how exactly he achieved this impossible feat, “Sunshine / Moonlight btw,” he wrote.
And I’ll attempt to break down exactly what that means.
You can take a look at Assassin’s Creed Shadows in action below.
I’m going to preface this by saying that I’m not an emulation expert, so I’ll be describing this in simple terms.

Essentially, Sunshine is an open-source game stream host, while Moonlight is an open-source version of NVIDIA’S GameStream.
As such, if you download both, you can essentially play all of your PC games on any compatible device.
As for how BobWulff went about installing Sunshine / Moonlight on his 3DS, I’m afraid that’s beyond me but it was certainly a success.
The creator uploaded video footage to Twitter showing him playing as Naoe.
“Ah yes, just the way developers intended,” joked jacobpro_.

“Inspirational levels of WTF coming from you these days,” added saiya_ran.
While I can’t exactly recommend that you play the game this way, I do recommend that you play it.
GAMINGbible’s Ewan Moore awarded Assassin’s Creed Shadows a score of nine.
He wrote, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows isn’t just one of the best games of the year so far, it’s the new yardstick by which all future Assassin’s Creed games should be measured. This is an epic, sweeping adventure bolstered by jaw-dropping visuals and a masterful blend of stealth, action, and exploration. You don’t want to miss this one.”

I concur. I've recently begun a playthrough myself and to say that I'm hooked is an understatement. I'm constantly counting down until I can next pick the game up.
