The latest Assassin’s Creed game, Mirage, has been with us for a while now, after dropping to generally favourable reviews and positive reaction from fans.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage took the franchise back to its roots, dropping the many RPG elements from the previous three games and going for a more streamlined approach that focuses on stealth. The rich world and characters were highly praised and, with this new update, fans are sure to return to try out some great new features that round out the title even more.
Assassin's Creed Mirage was praised for its setting and historical details
Ubisoft has announced the details of ‘update 1.0.7’ which will be released today. The headline feature of the update is FULL SYNCHRONIZATION CHALLENGE, essentially a permadeath mode that will test all your skills as an assassin. This new challenge means Basim can’t reenter the Animus after death, but you’ll also see a game over stats screen if you’re spotted doing anything deemed illegal, for example killing a civilian or leaving map locations.

This is sure to please those players who love a hardcore challenge as one wrong move could mean your save file gets wiped and you have to start all over again. There are rewards for tackling this challenge - as well there should be - and they range from an emblem for completing the challenge on ‘easy’, up to new dyes for outfits if you finish the permadeath mode on ‘hard’.
As well as some bug fixes in the patch, you’ll find a new easter egg detail added by the developers - while they don’t give away the addition Ubisoft have left a hint saying “We added a surprise easter egg to the world, a new special assassin that you might meet purrusing the streets. Be sure to snap a photo if you meownage to find them!” You can download this patch right now.
