Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple is irrefutable proof that Edward Kenway deserves a sequel, and fans agree.
In 2013, Ubisoft blessed us with one of the greatest Assassin’s Creed games ever made, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It introduced us to arguably the best protagonist the series has ever had, the legendary Edward Kenway, and took us on a tour of the beautiful Caribbean.
The latest game in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, is out now! Check it out below.
Fans of Black Flag will be happy to hear a full-on remake for the game is reportedly in development, though many are still hoping for a proper sequel, that continues Edward’s story and possibly leads into other stories from the Kenway family tree.

Those hopes were partially met with a new webcomic, Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple, following Edward Kenway’s adventures in China of all places.
While it’s not the video game follow-up fans were wishing for, it’s at least proven there’s an audience for future Assassin’s Creed games that adopt the pirate’s life into their world and gameplay.
This much is clear from the teaser trailer, which aired on YouTube a few months ago. The comment section is filled with Edward Kenway supporters, many of whom regret his story in the mainline games ended so soon, even though it was a pretty terrific ending and one of the most memorable in the series.
“Edward needs a sequel, the entire Kenway family does,” read one comment, while another added, “Seeing Edward brings back memories, so much nostalgia.” One user said, “One of the dopest assassins in the franchise is getting a WEBTOON adaptation! I’M HERE FOR THIS.”

It might not be another game, but it’s great to see the legendary Edward Kenway return to the series, and hopefully, fan reception gives Ubisoft the push it needs to extend his story with a few good sequels.
The Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple webcomic is available online, for free, right now!
