Assassin’s Creed fans are hyped over resurfacing rumours that a remake of the beloved Black Flag is on the way.
Released in 2013, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, starring Edward Kenway, is one of the best games in the Ubisoft series. It has everything: a charismatic protagonist, an interesting story, fun combat, a rich open world to explore on a pirate ship, and epic naval combat.

Would I prefer a Black Flag sequel? Sure, however, as a big fan of the series, I’d still take a great remake any day of the week.
The most recent rumours surrounding the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake appeared last week and as you might expect, they promise improved visuals, gameplay enhancements, quality of life improvements, and more.
Of course, we should take all unconfirmed rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise, but when it comes to a full remake of this Assassin’s Creed classic, I’m as excited as any fan.
Twitter account Rino shared information sourced from MP1ST, and the thread was buzzing with reactions from passionate fans.

“I am more excited for this than Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” replied BZBlackZack.
“I’ve heard some people refer to Black Flag as ‘the last great AC game’,” said MegaphoneFranke. “If Shadows knocks it out of the park and Ubisoft follows up with this, it might be able to right the ship. If Shadows fails, I can see this being the swan song for Ubisoft as we know it.”
“Please be true! Hands down one of the best Assassin’s Creed games of the series,” exclaimed AnthropicDualiT.
I really hope that this is a case of there being no smoke without fire because I adore Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and a full remake would be a treat for fans as well as a great experience for those who are new.
