Elden Ring is everywhere. No matter what corner of the internet you find yourself on, you’re probably going to see something of FromSoftware’s latest (and arguably greatest) title. I mean, it’s basically confirmed to be the game of the year at this point, right? Especially with the Breath of the Wild sequel delayed to next year (don’t talk to me).
Unsurprisingly, there are also a lot of Elden Ring mods - one that's particularly popular adds a bunch of meme-worthy characters like Shrek into the game, who has to be the best replacement for the Tree Sentinel I never knew I needed. But, when you take all the Elden Ring characters out of the game, they’ve gotta go somewhere, and one very skilled modder has given them a new home in Tekken 7.
Before we get into it, check out that silly Elden Ring Shrek mod right here.
As reported by VG247, Twitter user @uwais_alqarani has shared a video showing off their mod in all its glory. There are eight different characters included, from Malenia, to Ranni, and even everyone’s favourite pot-man, Iron Fist Alexander. They all look exceptional - although that’s sort of unsurprising, as the modder took the character models straight from the game.
Loads of Twitter users have been praising @uwais_alqarani for their work, but perhaps no higher praise comes from Katsuhiro Harada - the director of a number of Tekken games (including 7), and also the production general manager in charge of Elden Ring. Sharing the modder’s tweet, he said “it's ridiculously well-made”.

However, the mod has been causing some problems for the director, as a number of people have apparently been contacting him, assuming that it’s actually official content: “There [are] surprisingly many [people] who think this is official […] or make various misunderstandings [and] contact us,” he wrote. “I DON'T say anything for [your] personal enjoyment, but I want [you] to know that there [are people] in [your] community who make noise based on misunderstandings.”
If you want to download the mod for yourself, by the way, you totally can - check it out here. I imagine beating people to a pulp as Malenia would be quite therapeutic for anyone struggling to beat her in her actual game.
