Following the runaway success of 2013’s The Last of Us and its 2020 sequel was no small task, but HBO absolutely nailed it with the adaptation. Led by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in the lead roles of Joel and Ellie, The Last of Us was the TV event of 2023.
The musically-minded won’t have missed the series’ outstanding soundtrack, reorchestrating and expanding the video games’ own scores. For vinyl collectors who loved the series, The Last Of Us: Season 1 Soundtrack is a must-buy, and through Black Friday it’s marked down to £33.99 from £39.99 at Amazon.

Set across two vinyls in green and white respectively, this collection contains 68 tracks over four sides to cover the full extent of the series soundtrack. Along with score tracks from composer Gustavo Santaolalla, you’ll find songs by Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam, Jessica Mazin, and one from the star of a particularly acclaimed episode, Nick Offerman.
The vinyls themselves are accompanied by liner notes from series lead Neil Druckmann and composers Craig Mazin, David Fleming and Santaolalla, as well as a double-sided poster and a lovingly-curated selection of artwork on the sleeves and covers.
The set has a massive 4.8 out of 5 average on Amazon from 74 ratings. “Huge fan of the games! This is an essential for music lovers and game fans alike!" said one reviewer.
Another said it was "so worth it", adding: "It is just like the picture and the songs on it are so beautiful and the feel of it is matt and soft, and it is hands down my favourite vinyl and it is 100% worth the money, it comes well packed and protected, I would 100% recommend it."

Another five-star review simply said: “Excellent.”
However, some were less enthusiastic, with one shopper writing: "Amazing quality and amazing soundtrack, be warned its mostly background sounds so not a lot of music." Another added: “Especially in quiet passages, it clicks and crackles too much for me.”
For vinyls specific to the 2013 video game, the 10-year anniversary set is stunning at £89.99 from HMV. If spacious, emotive soundtracks are your bag, the Demon’s Souls soundtrack is another video game score that’s well worth owning on vinyl, especially at just £24.99 from Vinyl Guru.
However, The Last Of Us: Season 1 Soundtrack discount will end once Black Friday is over, so be sure to snap it up while you can.
