If you are in any doubt that GTA VI isn’t going to make the 2025 release that Rockstar Games said it would, then would it help if I refer you to industry analyst, Brendan Sinclair?
He believes that 2025 is going to be a knockout year for games, and GTA VI is a big part of that, perhaps cementing that game into its release window.
Fans have watched the first GTA 6 trailer millions of times by now
Sinclair noted in a piece earlier this year, for Game Industry Biz, “if you look towards 2025, if interest rates come down and money becomes a little bit more free-flowing to devs and pubs, we should get a boost in the development cycle again.”

This was reflecting on the industry feeling the pinch in 2024 as gamers spent less on games.
He believes 2025 will be a mammoth year for earning and revenue, mostly due to the release of GTA VI, which has bagged several awards for the most anticipated title in 2025.
“We're going to get a renewed batch of interest with GTA VI in particular. There's probably never been a more important thing to ever release in the industry, so no pressure,” he comments.
And he’s not wrong. GTA VI will be a big deal for the video game industry in 2025 with sales bound to end up in the multiple millions on launch day alone.

It’s no wonder other publishers and developers want to avoid launching around the same time, the next Rockstar Games release is going to dwarf everything else around it.
Whether Sinclair has it on good authority that the game is going to meet its release window, I have no idea, but many doubt that the game will be delayed into 2026.
I think we can rest easy for a while. Now, how about that second trailer, eh? When is that coming out?
