The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the greatest games of all time, so it’s no surprise that fans are desperate to get their hands on the sequel. Originally, Breath of the Wild 2 was due to release this year but was later pushed back to 2023 and we haven’t really heard anything since then.
We know very little about the sequel - not even its title. Nintendo's Bill Trinen previously revealed that they're holding back as the title could "give little bits of hints about maybe what's going to happen.” Whilst we await further news on Link’s next outing, I have just the thing to tide you over. One fan has made an incredible Breath of the Wild DLC, and it’s available to download very soon.
Check out Breath of the Wild 2’s latest trailer below, released at 2019’s E3.
‘Doors of Doom’ is a fan-made Breath of the Wild DLC made by modder Waikuteru. The expansion is due to feature a new minigame, 10 quests, brand new rewards, multiple combat encounters, and more. The good news is that the DLC is set to be compatible with both the Wii U and Switch versions of the game.

The expansion picks up straight after the events of Breath of the Wild. It’s currently available to download if you’re a Patreon subscriber to Waikuteru, but ‘Doors of Doom’ will be made available for everybody to download from 29 June. Take a look at a demo of the DLC below.
Speaking about the project, Waikuteru said, “It was inspired by the ‘Doors of Doom’ minigame from Mario Party 4 but I added more things to it, even rooms!” You can clearly see the inspiration that Waikuteru is talking about. Fans never fail to surprise me with their talent and creativity. This DLC looks so much fun.
