Uncharted fans are starving at the moment, and while there are presumably no new games on the way, this will do for now.
I’m sure I don’t have to remind anyone how uneventful the Uncharted film was. That’s not to say it was bad; it just wasn’t what we were expecting, and Tom Holland as Nathan Drake still doesn’t quite sit right with us.
Check out the Uncharted film below.
To summarise, the Uncharted film just didn’t feel very Uncharted, but it’s okay because Fountain Of Youth does.

For those who haven’t seen the trailer yet, Fountain Of Youth is an upcoming Apple TV film directed by Guy Ritchie and written by James Vanderbilt.
Starring John Krasinski, Natalie Portman and Eiza González it’s about a cast of characters embarking on a journey to find the legendary Fountain Of Youth, very Pirates of the Caribbean-coded.
It’s been described as “more Uncharted then the Uncharted movie” by fans, and we can’t help but agree with that perspective.
“This actually looks pretty decent and Guy Ritchie is a great director. You don't see a lot of campy adventure films like this anymore, it's nice to see,” said one fan in the comments.

Others pointed out that they “didn't know I wanted John Krasinski as Nathan Drake” until watching the trailer, and admittedly he does seem to have the look/build for the role.
“Looks great, I love these types of movies. Thanks for sharing OP, this will scratch the Uncharted itch for sure,” added another.
Honestly, an Uncharted film like this wouldn’t have been too bad - it couldn’t have been any worse than the film we got anyway.
Hopefully, the reception to the Uncharted film didn’t cause any lasting damage though; it’d be a shame to think no one wants to make another film in fear of it being slated as a poor adaptation again.
