Stranger Things Day brought a lot of ways for fans to celebrate the series with appearances from Eleven and Hopper in Fortnite, to the reinstating of the Stranger Things DLC for Dead By Daylight and general flashbacks to the past four seasons.
Perhaps the biggest marking of the occasion was kept for the writers of season five. Taking to Twitter, the writers' account posted an image of a script with the message, "Season 5. Chapter 1. Scene 1."
Stranger Things will be back on out screens soon.
Underneath that text, in the image attached to the tweet, was the following, "Darkness. The sound of COLD WIND. GROANING TREES. And... A CHILD'S VOICE. Singing a familiar song."

And that was it. It really is a tease.
There are legions of fans replying to the tweet in a variety of ways. Many are just exclamations of pure excitement, some are hilarious, while others are speculative. Perhaps the most popular theory for the song being sung is Will, from his time in the Upside Down as he lay curled up singing 'Should I Stay or Should I Go'.
Of course, there are other songs within the Stranger Things universe, such as 'Running Up That Hill' by Kate Bush but it wouldn't be that, it also wouldn't be 'The Neverending Story' as sung by Dustin and Suzie, though that would be hilarious.
It's already been widely speculated that this final season of the show focuses on Will. After all, the saga started with him and his disappearance so this would bring it full circle. The tease hints heavily that season five will open up with a flashback of Will stuck in the Upside Down waiting for rescue.

We can only hope that from this point on we will start seeing more teases, more glimpses at what's happening in the writers room or with the cast as they get back together to shoot the final season of the Netflix blockbuster.
