Netflix has dropped a teaser for the upcoming final season of Stranger Things that includes the titles of all episodes set to debut.
The full set of episode titles can be found over on Twitter, but one of them has big consequences for a main character, at least in theory.
Stranger Things season five has wrapped shooting and will be with us next year.
The second episode of the fifth and final season is titled, 'The Vanishing of [redacted]', with redacted representing a blurred name.

If your pause game is good, you’ll see that it could be two names - a first and last, we assume.
Of course, that could be a swerve and it’s just the first name of a character.
Who could it be that’s vanishing? It has to be someone from the main cast for it to get a title card, but we’d be surprised to see someone like Eleven to disappear, and it’s unlikely that Will vanishes again seeing as that started this whole mess.
If we’re to be led by the length of the blurred name, it doesn’t really fit with any of the main cast.

It has to have an impact on the audience though. My first thought was Henry Creel and it’s really another flashback episode filling in more blanks on our villain.
This would also tie into the stage production which follows Henry’s arrival in town and some of his younger days. He did vanish into the Upside Down, much like Will.
However, now the Upside Down is a thing in which others can enter, this could be another character who is seeking a way to put down Vecna and the Mind Flayer, perhaps Dustin, who has had a brush with the other dimension already.

It would be the ultimate troll from Netflix if the episode airs and the title card is revealed to say 'The Vanishing of Barbara Holland' in a tremendous callback to the first season and the sidelined Barb.
