Kylo Ren remains one of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars universe but after appearing as a fully-fledged villain, fans are eager to see more of his story in a Knights of Ren prequel series.
First introduced in 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Kylo Ren, who was played by Adam Driver, was the main antagonist in the sequel trilogy.

Despite being born to Han Solo and Leia Organa and being trained in the ways of the Jedi by Luke Skywalker, Ren is lured to the dark side of the Force and aspires to become as powerful as his grandfather, Darth Vader.

However, after falling in love with the Jedi Rey, he rejects the dark side and joins her in defeating the Supreme Leader of the First Order and the resurrected Emperor Palpatine.
Although his story throughout the sequel trilogy is well documented, his life before the movies’ events has not yet been explored on the big screen and so fans are eager for a Knights of Ren prequel series.
Taking to r/StarWars, one user asked, “Is a Kylo Ren prequel series out of the question? If it’s on the table, who would play him?”
Of course, Ren’s story has been explored in various comics but it would be interesting to see how he became the antagonist that we meet in the movies.

“I don't think it's out of the question at all. Especially if it's animated,” user InfiniteDedekindCuts replied.
“If it's animated they could just bring back Matthew Wood to do it. He's already done Kylo's voice in animation and he still works at Lucasfilm as far as I know.
Outside of animation it's a LOT harder.”
User Dadpurple added, “The Knights of Ren would make for a potentially amazing animated series.

There were so many questions about them and nothing was fleshed out really until some comics. The potential could be huge.
Kylo Ren at his peak anger. The Knights of Ren following him. Snoke guiding him as Palps did to Vader.”
Such a series has not been confirmed by Lucasfilms but it is clear that many fans would be interested in the adaptation. Fingers crossed it will happen one day!
