According to the latest rumours Sydney Sweeney is in the running to play Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, in Spider-Man 4.
It’s a wonder the actress hasn’t been put off superhero films for good after the disaster Madame Web was…
The next Sony Spider-Man film that doesn’t feature Spider-Man is Kraven The Hunter, coming to cinemas this year

We actually know surprisingly little about the next MCU Spider-Man film, other than Marvel Studios is actively working on it.
It’s said Marvel is currently battling with Sony on whether Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfleld should return as their respective Spider-Men, with Sony pushing for it and Marvel wanting a more grounded story away from the multiversal mayhem.
Now the latest rumour is Black Cat will make an appearance, played by Sydney Sweeney and be a new love interest for Peter Parker.
At the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, we saw Doctor Strange cast a spell that erased Peter Parker’s memory from everyone on Earth, maybe even the universe, though it wasn’t explained very well.

The wallcrawler is now living alone, with a handcrafted suit and probably severely depressed, which is basically peak conditions for a good Spidey story.
With MJ presumably out of the picture having forgotten Peter Parker existed, and our friendly neighbourhood hero in a very vulnerable state, it’d make sense for a character like Black Cat to swoop in to tempt him to a life of romance and crime.
Whether that’s actually on the cards for the next film is unknown, but it’d be a pretty good direction to go in, as would a team-up with Daredevil and the introduction of a new villain like Scorpion or Mr Negative.
