According to an insider, Tom Holland will be popping up in a different Marvel film before his appearance in Spider-Man 4 - and yeah, it’s probably the MCU film you were expecting him to show up in before you even finished reading this title.
Leaker and insider Daniel Richtman, who quite literally has made a living out of revealing Disney’s secrets, recently announced on his Patreon account that Tom Holland’s Spidey is coming back to the MCU sooner than some might have expected.
Richtman revealed that Holland has signed up to film some scenes for Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to release on the 1st of May 2026.

The next MCU Spider-Man film is set to start production roughly four to six weeks after Avengers: Doomsday however, which likely means that either Spidey’s part in the film will be small or that (as other reports have stated) both films will be filmed entirely in the United Kingdom.
This is all interesting for a couple of reasons, one of which is probably pretty obvious to fans of the MCU.
As Robert Downey Jr. is set to start in Avengers: Doomsday as Victor Von Doom, many have assumed that this means the Doom in question has taken over the body of Tony Stark.
As Stark and Spidey have a long history in the MCU, this is more than likely going to lead to some kind of dramatic reveal once Spider-Man learns of Doctor Doom’s origin.

The other less obvious reason is that Spider-Man 4 is rumoured to release in between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, which to me implies that Spider-Man 4 is going to form a narrative bridge between the two Avengers films.
It would also imply that, much like in the comics, Spider-Man will be getting some serious screen time in the Secret Wars film. Maybe we might be getting the MCU symbiote Spider-Man sooner than we thought…
