We finally got our first look at what Peter “Star-Lord” Quill is going to be up to during the events of Avengers: Doomsday thanks to some recent leaks, and fans are happy that Peter is happy (although potentially an alcoholic).
In case you missed it, a whole bunch of concept art just leaked for the next big Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Avengers: Doomsday - and, perhaps surprisingly, a lot of it is focusing on Star-Lord.
In the leaked concept art, Peter can be seen hanging out with White Vision while drinking a beer and watching TV, and he can also be seen hanging out with Wong and the Young Avengers… while also drinking a beer.

The fact that he’s drinking beer in both scenes could just be a coincidence, but my current headcanon is that Peter is getting absolutely blasted on the regs because he’s bored and he misses the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Potentially worrying alcoholism aside, fans are pretty happy to see that Peter has found some new friends in his post-Guardians of the Galaxy 3 life.
“I can actually see Peter being like the (leader/mentor/big bro) to the young avengers,” commented user @jacen_wade.
“They don’t really know him famous hero wise, but he has plenty of experience dealing with power unstable individuals. Teenagers are right up his alley, plus I think he’d get along with them.”

“Wonder if he’ll be the one who ties together all the groups,” replied user @imAvention.
“He’s no longer with the guardians so now he’s going group to group trying to find his place, and ends up being the one loose thread to tie everyone together.
We’ll have to wait a long old time to see exactly what Peter’s role in the film actually is (as Avengers: Doomsday doesn’t release until next year), but I think it’ll be nice to see him in a mentor-style role.
Here’s hoping they respect him a little more than the Guardians ever did though.
