We’re finally getting to see what would happen if Daredevil and Spider-Man threw down for real in one of the MCU’s latest series, and fans aren’t holding back about how they feel.
Spoiler warning: this article is going to spoil a pretty important moment in the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, so don’t read any further from this point onwards if you’ve yet to watch it! You’ve been warned!
One of the latest episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man featured a showdown between a junior Peter Parker and a relatively senior Matt Murdock, and the commenters in DiscussingFilm’s Twitter post discussing the fight are a mix of both positive and critical.

“I thought this show was gonna suck I’m glad it seems like I was wrong,” commented user @dbz96_rob, “I’ve heard way more good about it then bad.”
“Damn people are really negative on this show huh?” replied user @DinoKohli.
“I haven't held back criticizing marvel disney plus shows for being worse than the pre 2019 marvel shows… But this show is easily the best spider-man we have had since spectacular easily.”
Now, while there are a lot of positive comments about how hype it is to see the two heroes fight… I gotta admit, the other comments about the animation issues do also ring true.

When action isn’t the focal point of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, I honestly think the animation is fine. But, as demonstrated in this fight, the animation style (or rather, its speed) doesn’t quite fit the hand-to-hand action sequences.
But hey, at the end of the day, a bad Spider-Man/Daredevil fight is like bad ice cream - in the sense that there’s no such thing as bad ice cream.
Also, it was extremely hype that they used the music from the Netflix Daredevil TV show for Matt’s entrance, so it gets points for that regardless.
