A Skyrim player has discovered what would happen if you killed Alduin during the first encounter at Helgen.
Developed by Bethesda, The Elder Scrolls series is one of the most beloved fantasy RPG properties of all time, immersing players in its epic world and enchanting tales ever since the first game dropped in 1994 on PC (yes, it’s been around for that long).

“Play any type of character you can imagine, and do whatever you want; the legendary freedom of choice, storytelling, and adventure of The Elder Scrolls is realised like never before,” reads the description of the game. “Battle ancient dragons like you’ve never seen. As Dragonborn, learn their secrets and harness their power for yourself.”

One of the most memorable moments in The Elder Scrolls series is its opening sections. I’ll never forget the moment with my eyes blurred from the sun when I set upon the gorgeous lands of Cyrodiil for the very first time in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
It’s these memorable moments that set the tone for the adventures that await and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is no exception.
“Hey, you’re finally awake” utters the words from a friendly NPC who seemingly has no concern that his and your head are about to be chopped off.
However, before your head gets sliced like a pickle, you are inevitably saved by the elder dragon Alduin aka the “World Eater”. While Alduin is kickstarting his summer BBQ by roasting the unfortunate residents of Helgen, you seize this opportunity to escape.
But what if you killed Alduin before you fled Helgen? Well, that very question has been answered by the YouTube channel, TIMENG.

Spoiler alert, not a great deal happens, because the developers at Bethesda Game Studios never wrote the code for such a scenario. Nonetheless, if you’re at all curious, here’s your chance to find out.
