What is more, with Benedict Cumberbatch having already confirmed that shooting for Avengers: Doomsday will begin this year, it makes sense that the aforementioned sequels aren’t already underway.
“I love playing him. He's great fun. I'm very much looking forward to Avengers next year, which is cooking up a storm,” Cumberbatch said, as per ComicBook Movie.
Shang-Chi actor Simu Liu has also confirmed that his character will return, which was also referenced in the same article.
When speaking about Shang-Chi 2, Liu said, “I will say this. It's definitely happening, I should probably lead with that.”

This isn't the only promising leak to recently come to light, for there’s also teasers circulating about the new Black Panther making their debut in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Naturally, such speculation has fans torn over recasting given the legacy that Chadwick Boseman created while playing the superhero.
All of these details, even though only speculative, point to the MCU we’ve become accustomed to coming to an end.
This is both exciting but also nerve-wracking, as Marvel really needs to hit its stride again for the next phases to reignite the fandom’s passion.
