The MCU has found the perfect new Spider-Man, Marvel fans agree

He’s perfect!

The Penguin actor has declared his interest in playing Miles Morales in a live-action Spider-Man movie and fans believe he’s the perfect choice.

Earlier this year it was revealed that Sony is bringing us a new Miles Morales movie in its Marvel universe. Yet, unlike the amazing animated movies such as Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse, this new and upcoming movie will be live-action.

However, seeing as the new Miles Morales movie is in very early production, a leading role is yet to be announced but actor Rhenzy Feliz who plays Victor Aguilar in HBO’s The Penguin, a sequel to 2022’s The Batman has thrown his name into the hat.

As reported by ScreenRant, when speaking on the Agents of Fandom podcast and asked about whether he’d like to play Miles Morales, Feliz said: “There's a lot to explore there, live-action wise. I think that I share some characteristics with the guy, and so I'd love to give that a shot.”

Rhenzy Feliz has also been vocal elsewhere about the dream role when talking to Variety and interestingly, Marvel fans have been campaigning for Feliz to be cast in the role for years as seen in this Reddit post.

“Oh yeah, a great choice for Rhenzy Feliz. He is brilliant in The Penguin,” said Twitter user SSnozwell.

“So today I learned that he plays the kid from The Penguin and Alex from The Runaways and now I really want him as Miles for more Multiverse shenanigans,” tweeted jradthekid.

I think Rhenzy Felix could be a perfect live-action Miles Morales but I also believe that Stranger Things' Caleb McLaughlin could also be a stronger contender.

We’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear further developments on the live-action Miles Morales movie but it might be a safe assumption to make that the project is a few years away from being released in cinema.
