Henry Cavill will most likely return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe one day, but we’re a bit torn on who he should actually.
Deadpool And Wolverine surprised us all when the merc-with-a-mouth went universe hopping only to discover a reality where Henry Cavill was a variant of the infamous X-Man.
It was one of many cameos that made the film a blast from start to finish, and raised many questions on who could reappear in the MCU one day
Now Hugh Jackman’s version of Wolverine is still alive and kicking but he’s from one of the Fox universes, many are wondering who will be the current MCU’s version of the character and given his cameo Cavill is seemingly an easy choice.

Some fans aren’t convinced though, putting their thoughts into a Reddit thread by Character_Smoke800 discussing the character’s live-action future.
“I think he fits well, but I have a feeling they'll pick someone younger to do more and more movies” read one reply, as it was once hinted that Daniel Radcliffe could be the MCU’s Logan.
Others would prefer a brand-new face for the role, like one saying “Nah, I’d prefer a relatively unknown like Jackman originally was (in the States, at least.)”
And of course many parroted the joke from Deadpool And Wolverine that Disney are going to make Hugh Jackman play the character “until he’s 90”, with his next appearance rumoured to be in one of the upcoming Avengers films.

Now I love Henry Cavill and I think he’d play a great Wolverine if given the chance, but it feels like there are plenty of other Marvel characters he’d play just as well, if not better, like Colossus if we’re talking X-Men, or Captain Britain for a goofier option.
Call me crazy but I think he’d be a great fit for one of the god-like characters too, like the Living Tribunal or Beyonder…
