The writing is on the wall for the MCU multiverse saga as we eye the upcoming years and the emergence of Doctor Doom, who will likely merge the multiverse and put an end to variants and timelines.
With this end, Marvel has made it clear we’ll be entering the age of the X-Men as the mutant saga begins.
The next big release for Marvel will be Thunderbolts* later this year
Fans have been waiting many years for Marvel to get their hands on the X-Men characters after they spent years under the guidance of 20th Century Fox.

Now, we’re on the cusp of getting some favourite characters into the MCU, and many fans can’t wait.
In fact, over on Reddit, the hype is steadily building.
As Friendly_Duty_3540 says in their thread, “IDK about anyone else, but I am ready to see Marvel in its full glory with the mutants.”
They’re not the only one, with the top reply simply saying, “So ready for The Multiverse Saga to end. I need MCU X-Men now!”

Of course, there is some effort being made to not overhype the upcoming saga, with some fans reminding others that Marvel is handling teams like the Avengers and Fantastic Four alongside the emergence of the mutants.
“The mutants and X-men will definitely be a big part of it, but I don’t think it will be the main focus,” says Cold_Valuable_7100.
X-Men fans are still excited to see what could possibly occur when the mutants start showing up, and one fan is very excited, saying, “My favourite comics. I couldn't imagine telling myself in 1995 this s**t is happening.”
Whether you believe the X-Men will be the main focus or not, it’s an exciting time for the MCU as so many more stories can be told, and the new team will expand the possibilities for world-changing events in the MCU.
