However, rather than exciting the fandom, said teaser has proven underwhelming.
Captain America: Brave New World is out in cinemas now, yet the latest Marvel film has done little to sate fans.
In fact, it could be argued that it’s done the exact opposite.
The initial mixed reception to the film has left fans torn, a division that’s only deepened since its post-credit scene details were shared online.

We’ll keep our description of this sequence brief; during the post-credit scene, Sam Wilson visits the Raft and talks with The Leader. During their conversation, The Leader warns of multiverse threats coming.

Needless to say, the stage has been set for Doomsday and Secret Wars.
In response to this, user ForgottenStew said, “And the crowd goes mild.”
“This…. was not the movie that needed one of those. And as sick as I am of cameos, it’s ridiculous that this is just characters from the movie looking at the camera and being like ‘so… multiverse, amirite?’” added FordAndFun.
The dialogue from that scene has also been shared online, and is receiving a lot of criticism for being “cheesy”.

Redditor Kubrickwon was so shocked at how bad this MCU dialogue is that they hoped it was fake.
They said, “Yikes, please tell me that this dialogue is fake.”
Alas, it’s real dialogue.
All in all, Brave New World hasn’t felt particularly brave or new to fans. In fact, they’re ticked off that it’s much of the same multiverse shenanigans we’ve grown accustomed to seeing from the MCU.
